My Deepest Condolences

I disagreed with him on most issues, and hoped that he would lose his election, but he always seemed a decent, principled man, and I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Senator Wellstone.

I don't think that anyone wanted to see the Republicans regain control of the Senate in this tragic way.

It might not be that easy. The Democrats can name a replacement next week-if they can pick one by next Friday, they will have the replacement on the ballot.

The interesting thing will be who Jesse "Ventura" Janos picks as the temporary Senator. If he or she is GOP-friendly (or at least not Democratic friendly) we could have a fun lame duck session regardless of how Missouri comes out.

I have always liked Jesse, lets see how he plays this one.
