Speaking Of Michigan Football

38-Zip.

Looks like Chris Perry and the Wolverines didn't even let Notre Dame have any lube.

First time they've shut them out in over a century.

And this had to hurt:

Many fans in the NCAA-record crowd of 111,726 started chanting, "Houston's better! Houston's better!" in the fourth quarter.

If they can perform like that on the road next week against Oregon, I'll be a believer.

...Except The British Needed Automatic Weapons
Excerpt: Back from the UK early with lots to catch up on, but I'd just like to take a moment to note the Grade-A pimp-slapping Michigan laid on Notre Dame. The last time the Irish got beat this bad, U2 wrote a song about it....

My only problem with that was that the, Houston's Better," chant started at the beginning of the third quarter, followed closely by, "Overrated!" I know the students weren't there against Colorado in 1994, but the rest of us wince when we hear that.

Was that from the CU fans when they had the early lead, Michigan fans when they thought the game was in the bag, or CU fans at the (grimace) end?

The Michigan students when they thought the game was in the bag. I can't recall if the CU fans chanted at the end, or maybe I'm just supressing that memory.

Of course it was fun to turn the tables in '95 when the when Virginia fans rolled out the chant with a 17-0 lead.
